Online Resources for Those Seeking to Learn More about Polyamory

Rather than reinvent the polyamory information wheel, I'm providing here links to a variety of very fine online resources for those new to and learning about polyamory.

You may also wish to browse the websites (right column) and blogs (left column) to which I link on my own blog.  Also in the left column are resources specifically for people in poly/mono relationships where one partner prefers polyamory and one prefers monogamy.

The following sources are provided by people who are my friends and colleagues (with the exception of Dr. Davidson, whom I hope to meet some day).  I recommend them without reservation and suggest that you may wish to browse their websites for info in addition to what you find on the page to which I link.

  • Loving More Polyamory FAQ

  • Franklin's Polyamory FAQ

  • Electronic Journal of Human Sexuality's Info on Polyamory

  • A Couple's Guide to Polyamory by Dr. Joy Davidson (Video)

  • Serolynne's Answers To and Advice About Commonly-Asked Questions

  • Advice and Info from the Polyamorous Misanthrope

  • Pepomint on Defining Polyamory

Recommended Books for Those Seeking to Learn More about Polyamory

The following are books I highly recommend for those new to polyamory.  They are written by authors with whom I am friends and whom I trust, and they offer excellent, comprehensive information on polyamory and polyamory relationship skills without additional focus on any specific spiritual or sexual practice.  All are available via the Loving More Bookstore.

Opening Up:  A Guide to Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships by Tristan Taormino

The Ethical Slut:  A Practical Guide to Polyamory, Open Relationships & Other Adventures (2nd Ed.) by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy

Open:  Love, Sex and Life in an Open Marriage by Jenny Block

Love withers under constraint; its very essence is liberty.
It is compatible neither with obedience, jealousy nor fear.
It is there most pure, perfect, and unlimited when
its votaries live in confidence, equality and unreserve.
